Yes. The hymen can break naturally for a lot of reasons. Tampon use, horseback riding, bicycle riding, doing splits, you name it. The doctor is not going to think a thing one way or the other, a pelvic exam with a speculum could break the hymen. The hymen is just a thin band of tissue in most women and is easily torn. Also your own sexual exploration.
